description Take the Virtual Tour! - SELKIRK SHORES STATE PARK Selkirk Shores State Park's campsites overlook a bluff on Lake Ontario. Visitors can expect outstanding fishing and spectacular sunsets. Small boats can be launched from the Pine Grove site, and larger boats from Mexico Point on the Little Salmon River. Summer hiking and biking trails are used in the winter by cross-country skiers, snowshoers and snowmobilers. Selkirk Shores is on the direct migration route for a wide variety of bird species, so birdwatchers flock to the park.

importantInformation Each year the campground makes every effort to provide safe swimming opportunities by testing the water and by keeping the swimming areas staffed with lifeguards. Please be aware that if the safety of our swimmers is compromised, due to lack of lifeguard coverage or water quality issues, swimming will be prohibited and therefore cannot be a guaranteed activity. We apologize for this inconvenience as it may occur with little advance notice. See HERE for all current swimming closures! Swimming is open Friday through Sundays and holidays, beginning the 4th Friday in June through Labor Day weekend. Campground Improvements for 2016 !! Cabins 11 and 13 will be under construction for the early part of the 2016 season. Maximum of 2 vehicles allowed per site. Equipment permitted per campsite is: Two tents or one unit of hard wheeled camping equipment plus one tent. All electrical sites are G.F.I. equipped with a maximum of 20 AMPS. No substitutions or subletting of campsites or cabins. No camping tents or equipment allowed in cabin area. You MUST be 21 years of age or older to reserve and occupy a cabin. Smoking is not permitted in the cabins or in cottage 25. Access Pass is not accepted for the full service Cottage rental. Only 2 pets per site are permitted. Current rabies certificate required. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft at all times. Visitors must leave the park by 10:00 pm. Firewood available at park office A fish cleaning station is available. When biking, children under 14 years old must wear a helmet. Chainsaws, chopping down trees, firearms, fireworks are not allowed at the park. No skateboards or roller blades to be used in the park. Generators can be excessively loud and/or may omit fumes that can be obnoxious to other campers, especially during meal times. Therefore, operation of generators will be permitted only between the hours of 9:00 am to 11am and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Excessively loud and/or obnoxious generators will not be allowed. Peak Season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
